14. The Philadelphia Flyers 32-24-6:  The Flyers have clawed their way back into contention. They just put some more distance between themselves and the Washington Capitals today. The Flyers have needs on defense. The Flyers should be targeting a veteran defenseman.

Trade Deadline Status: BUYER

13.  NY Rangers 33-25-3: The Rangers agreed to terms with Dan Girardi this week. Girardi signed a six year 33 million dollar extension. This move could mean that Ryan Callahan is dealt. Callahan wants a 7 year deal worth more than 7 million per year. This contract would not be beneficial for the Rangers. Expect Callahan to be dealt to a contender for a decent haul for the Rangers. I also expect the Rangers to add another piece.

Trade Deadline Status: BUYER and Strategic SELLER

12. Minnesota Wild 33-21-7: The Wild are in the playoffs currently but need to make a move! The Blues made a huge splash by acquiring Ryan Miller, The Avs are looking to add someone and the Blackhawks are the defending Stanley Cup Champions. The Wild have been linked to goalies mainly. With Josh Hardening not returning anytime soon and Niklas Backstrom struggling this season, they need goalie help. Their help could be in the form of Martin Brodeur or Jaroslav Halak. Rumor has it that they could be in on Thomas Vanek too.

Trade Deadline Status: BUYER

11. Los Angeles Kings 34-22-6: The Kings priority at this trade deadline is adding a goal scorer. The Kings are 22 in the league in goals for and are 1st in goals against. Their goalie tandem of Jonathan Quick and Martin Jones are the strength of this club. The Kings have been linked to the Oliers Sam Gagner, Thomas Vanek, and Matt Moulson. The Kings need to add someone who can score.
