The Blackhawks and Red Wings meet again although it was better when it was more than twice a season.  The two original six teams are still rivals but with St.Louis and  ahead of the Blackhawks in the standings it’s hard to worry about old rivals too much although you can almost guarantee Detroit Sucks will ring out loud at the United Center Sunday night.  The last time these two teams met at the UC Brent Seabrook sent everyone happy with Chelsea Dagger ringing in their ears after a huge goal in overtime.

You can almost hear the Red Wings fans saying if they would have won that series the Cup was theirs for the taking, but what ifs don’t end up being engraved on the Stanley Cup.  The game is huge for both teams for different reasons with the Red Wings needing 2 points for playoff survival while the Blackhawks need two points to pick up home ice advantage.  Rivalry will be there too.  The Hawks need to find some consistency in winning games so there is no better time than the present!
