10. Montreal Candiens  36-25-7: The Candiens has a great wild victory on Saturday. The Candiens overcame a three goal deficit to win 5-4 in overtime. The most important stat of the night was Carey Price made the start. It was Price’s first start in three weeks. The Candiens are scheduled to face against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round.  

9. Toronto Maple Leafs 36-24-8: The Leafs are getting great goal tending play from both Jonathan Bernier and James Reimer. Great goal tending can take you very far in the  Stanley Cup Playoffs just ask the La Kings and New Jersey Devils about it. The Leafs are scheduled to take on the Lightning in the first round.


8. Tampa Bay Lightning 36-24-7: On Thursday Steven Stamkos scored his first goal since returning from a major leg injury. Stamkos joined recently acquired Ryan Callahan on the score sheet that night. Callahan has 1 goal and 2 assists in four games since joining the Lightning. They are scheduled to face off against the Maple Leafs in the first round.

7.  Chicago Blackhawks 38-15-14: The Blackhawks seem to struggling at the exact wrong time. They have dropped two in a row. Good news for the Blackhawks Marian Hossa could return against the Red Wings on Sunday  3/16/14. They also received word that their Finnish prospect Teuvo Teravainen will be joining them at some point this season. Bad news, they play the Colorado Avalanche in the first round the playoffs, they have beat the Avs once this season in 5 games.

6.  Colorado Avalanche 43-19-5: The experience Matt Duchene learned during the Olympics has translated to his post Olympic play. Duchene and the Avalanche have won 7 out of their last 10 games. The Avs are scheduled to play the Blackhawks in the first round. They have owned Blackhawks winning 4 of 5 this season.
