For the second straight week Toews lands in the #1 position, playing as complete a game as ever before. Toews kicked off the week with a great game against the Avalanche, playing a hefty 23:12, bringing home a +1 rating, although he failed to record a point. Toews nearly had the game on his stick, with two of his signature rushes behind the Avs’ defense, but Semyon Varlamov held strong. The captain followed up with a goal in each of the remaining games, for two points on the week. Aside from the offense, Toews showed fans why he’s the reigning Selke Trophy holder, with a 72% and 83% (that’s 19/23!!)  faceoff rating against the Avalanche and Predators, respectively.

The Blackhawks kicked off Week 24 of the regular season with an overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, and face the St. Louis Blues on Rivalry night. They cap off the week with a date against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, and a rematch against the Predators on Sunday.
