Patrick Kane has left the bench after getting his leg was caught underneath a falling Sheldon Brookbank midway through the second period. Kane got his leg stuck under Sheldon and a falling Brendan Morrow and caught in an awkward angle.  Kane was walking gingerly off the bench but the leg didn’t look good when he was on the ice.

Kane went right off the ice and still hasn’t returned with only a few minutes left in the 2nd period.

Patrick Kane looked like he was a huge target for the Blues on Wednesday night with David Backes putting big hits on him early on in the first period and it seemed to get Kane’s legs going with even Kane throwing some body around.

No matter what the final score says after the game tonight, if Kane is out for any period of time the Hawks will be the losers tonight.

If we get any updates we will put them on our site or on Twitter as soon as anything official is announced.  The Hawks are shorthanded on the ice now which makes Brandon Saad’s injury even more significant since both Saad and Kane are usually the players that get double shifted when injuries occur.
