Teuvo will not take the ice tonight at the United Center when the Chicago Blackhawks play the Carolina Hurricanes.

The announcement came pretty subtly during the Blackhawks Morning Skate Live on CSN when being interviewed at the end of practice. Quenneville seemed pretty excited to see Teravainen who did take part of most of the Gameday morning skate.

Quenneville said due to getting in late and not being on the ice since Sunday they wouldn’t rush Teuvo on to the ice tonight so his NHL debut will not happen until Sunday at the earliest.  Q did have glowing remarks about Teuvo speaking of his special talent which of course is the coach of the franchise saying it not all of us fans!  Everyone wants the fans to lower the expectations but the coach is stating these facts.

Quenneville also sounded liked Michal Rozsival, Brandon Saad and Bryan Bickell will not be on the ice tonight so the press box could be really full at the UC.

Bowman had a press conference earlier in the day and said that they fully expect Patrick Kane to be back for the playoffs which is a big dose of Good News, Bad News.  Bowman biggest news is the fact that there will be games played clock on Teuvo which means if he truly is special the organization doesn’t care if his contract clock starts.

No Teuvo tonight, but it is still an exciting day in Chicago!
