From bad to worse for the Chicago Blackhawks in Pittsburgh.  Jonathan Toews in the second period of the Penguins game was hit hard in the corner by Brooks Orpik and he was holding his left arm right after the hit.

Toews went right to the dressing room after the hit.  The announcers on NBCSN called the hit clean but it is irrelevant because the Captain left the game with an injury.

The Hawks are already missing Patrick Kane for the remainder of the season and if Toews misses anytime it will not only be tough to get the #2 seed but the Hawks playoff hopes and dreams of a repeat  will be seriously hampered.

As of now Toews is in the locker room and we will have an update as soon as we get one. Toews missed the final 23 games of the 2012 season with a concussion and only made it back in time for the playoff loss to the Phoenix Coyotes.

Again Toews was favoring his left arm after the Orpik hit and is currently in the locker room.

The third period update is as follows as expected
