Welcome to what use to be Viktor Stalberg’s favorite opponent day.  Stalberg’s only career hat trick came against the Blue Jackets and he always seemed to have a knack for scoring against them routinely.  Anyways Stalberg plays for the Nashville Predators and the Columbus Blue Jackets now play in the Eastern Conference so everything about this matchup is upside down including the fact that the Blue Jacket currently hold down a Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

The Hawks are one point away from securing the #3 seed and unless a miracle happens will be opening their Stanley Cup defense on the road in Denver. Whether the Hawks start at home or on the road, health will be the biggest factor with the Blackhawks youth movement getting more responsibility in the final 5 game could really be a silver lining in the end.

Last Game’s Prediction-I didn’t get close missing on a big game from Andrew Shaw, but Skyler Peters dropped this prediction off in our Comments section and it was pretty close to accurate—->I don’t think this team is capable of losing four games in a row, and I still think losing 4 in 7 down the road will be tough as well. 3-1 good guys, Bickell, Smith, Hossa. Crow makes 29 stops.

Tonight’s Prediction– The Blackhawks will have to hear that stupid cannon go off tonight, but in the end the Hawks will somehow pull out a road win 3-2 with Patrick Sharp and Brandon Bollig picking up goals.  Yes that Brandon Bollig!
