14. Detroit Red wings 34-26-14: Gustav Nyquist has been the savior of the Red Wings this season. Now the guns are returning to Red Wings, Pavel Datsyuk will be back this Friday. The Wings look poised to make the playoffs for their 23rd season.  Pressing question:  How far can the Red Wings go into the playoffs?

13. The Philadelphia Flyers 39-29-9:  The Flyers have been slumping. They are 4-4-2 in their last ten games and lost two games in a row. The Flyers are currently slated to take on the New York Rangers in a first round matchup.  Pressing question: Can Steve Mason be the man in the playoffs?

 

12.  NY Rangers 43-31-5: The Rangers are playing good hockey at the exactly the right time. They are 7-2-1 in their last ten games. The Rangers have three games remaining, 2 at home and 1 away. They have the Canes, Sabres, and Canadiens. Pressing question:  Can Martin St. Louis find his game in the playoffs?

11. Minnesota Wild 40-26-12: The Wild have been a pretty average team since acquiring Matt Moulson this season. The Wild will have to improve their scoring if they want to advance in the playoffs. They are 25th in the NHL in goals for. The Wild are scheduled to play the Anaheim Ducks.  Pressing question:  Can the Wild score enough in the playoffs to win?
