The last three Hawks wins had at least one goal scored by a player getting to the front of the net, and once again we saw a dirty goal scored. Morin goes hard to the front and taps in a rebound off a Bickell shot. It’s hard to believe we had to put up with #ProjectBrookbank when we could have had Morin up this season.
Andrew Shaw and Morin get the transition game going for the Hawks. Shaw’s pass would spring Morin who would draw the lone defender back over to him before passing it, and Sharp made sure to snipe it short side past Elliot. This was a great heads up play by Shaw and Morin.
Nordstrom and Kruger showed a little chemistry earlier in the season and the two would find each other again. Nordstrom hits both posts and the goalie before Kruger finally tucked the puck into the net. Once again, the Blackhawks went hard to the net and it payed off for them.
The Hawks let up late in the third, but they made sure to claim victory with this EN goal. Ben Smith would skate the puck from his own blue line in and backhand the puck into a wide open cage. This was a great showing from the team, especially with playoffs right around the corner.
FINAL SCORE: Chicago Blackhawks 4 – St. Louis Blues 2
