The final home game is tonight at the United Center well at least in the regular season.  The Blackhawks have secured the #3 seed and will need a minor miracle to get home ice advantage for the first round so it’s almost playing out the string time.

The Blackhawks have faced their Original 6 foe one time in Montreal this season and it ended like a lot of games this season with the Hawks skating off with only one point after an overtime loss.  They will be looking for a bit of revenge for that earlier defeat.

One little side note for this game is Peter Regin will not be in the lineup for tonight’s game after playing really well with his linemates Bryan Bickell and last games #1 star Jeremy Morin which is Joel Quenneville’s coaching this season in a nutshell!

Last Game’s Prediction– My prediction came true of both Morin and Ben Smith increasing their current point streaks even if it took Smith 59 minutes 56.7 seconds of game time to complete this prediction. Better late than never! Yes I know Bickell didn’t score but the two correct were more impressive!

Tonight’s Prediction– The Blackhawks and Canadiens skate to a 2-2 tie and after 5 minutes of no scoring in overtime head to the locker room because that’s how Original 6 teams did it for decades a good old fashion TIE, or The Hawks win 4-1 with Kris Versteeg picking a rare goal this season.

What is your prediction for tonight’s Original 6 matchup?
