No we are not going to update every goal of Teuvo in Rockford, but since the Blackhawks threw up a goose egg last night in Washington DC and looked listless I wanted to show some sort of highlight heading into Saturday night’s game in Nashville.

So Teuvo Teravainen scored his first professional goal in North America and it was of all places Rockford instead of Chicago or another big league city that almost all Hawks fans had hoped to see from Teuvo.

The reports on Twitter were all over the place from rusty to a man among boys, but the Icehogs only managed one goal last night and it was Teuvo’s! Here is the highlight of the goal

I’m not sure but this whole Teuvo saga seems like an enormous fumble by Stan Bowman and the Blackhawks organization.  They build him up and make claims that his contract is not an issue and then they play him in three games one of which was the Boston Bruins and then complain about his play.  His best performance was against the Pittsburgh Penguins and after that game he didn’t see the ice for almost two weeks before getting in some ice time last night in Rockford.

If they wanted him to get some minutes they should have sent him to Rockford in the first place!

The good side is Teuvo’s first game in Rockford was a success and he has four more games in Rockford to show off his skills and maybe sneak the IceHogs into the playoffs.
