The law of the NHL came down on Joel Quenneville and it wasn’t as stiff as the NFL would have been in the situation! The NHL fined Joel Quenneville $25,000 for his gesture during overtime of the Blackhawks vs Blues game on Thursday night.

The Hawks were on a powerplay when it appeared the Blues shot the puck into the stands which would have created a 5 on 3 for the Blackhawks for :36 seconds. The refs decided that the puck had been deflected and then to the internet’s enjoyment and probably Joel Quenneville’s chagrin he made a gesture to the man zone that he wishes he could get back.  Earlier today he called the move Bush league.

Anyways if you are on Twitter you are probably tired of seeing it so for one last time here it is!

This weird saga is over now and we can move on to Game #2 tomorrow at 2 Central!
