The Blackhawks recalled Klas Dahlbeck the 22 year old defenseman. Dahlbeck was a third round draft pick in the 2011 draft and this past season was one of the Co-Defenseman of the Year for the Rockford Ice Hogs picking up a career high 35 points with 10 goals and 25 assists.
The Blackhawks also called up goalie Jason LaBarbera was 15-15-2 this season for Rockford after being aquired from the Edmonton Oilers in December. Labarbera has played 182 NHL games in his previous stops.
The Labarbera move is for sure just a Black Ace move, but the Dahlbeck move tonight could make for a bunch of Twitter chatter tonight and tomorrow as everyone is scared having #ProjectBrookbank and Rundblad as the possible replacements for Brent Seabrook for Game #3 but in the end he’s probably just a Black Ace also.
