The Stanley Cup has been around for over 100 years while of course TV hasn’t been around so long but they have captured every Stanley Cup celebration since 1949.

There are several thing interesting watching the video. One is that the all the Stanley Cup traditions seemed to be more of recent development than a 1oo year tradition. The other thing watching the video is how much the Cup has grown in the past 65 years. The other big observation is how more athletic the players look today than they did in the 50’s.
For Blackhawks fans we get a quick glimpse of the 1961 Stanley Cup celebration while the 2010 and 2013 are little longer, and of course all three of the celebrations were on the road and not in front of the home crowd at Chicago Stadium in 61 or the United Center in 2010, 2013. Let’s be honest though it doesn’t matter where the Hawks have won the Cup it’s the fact that they have won including 2 out of the last 4 seasons.
Now the question is who will be in the 2014 celebration which of course we all are hoping is the Blackhawks so they could become the first team to repeat in this celebration since the Red Wings in the mid 90’s!
Enjoy the Video! Because It’s The Cup!
Now the Hawks need to take care of business in St. Louis Friday Night!
