The Minnesota Wild advance to the second round of the playoffs after scoring an overtime goal on the road in overtime. Nino Niederreiter is the hero with a tying goal in the third period and then scored the series clincher. They now faceoff with the Chicago Blackhawks.

The #7 seed Wild came back after some disappointing losses earlier in the series in Colorado and in overtime.

Last year the Blackhawks defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-1 in the first round of the playoffs with their only loss coming in Game #3 a 3-2 overtime loss in Minnesota, but the Hawks easily defeated them in five games. Nobody is expecting a series that easy this time around against the Wild.

The series schedule will be out later tonight, but for now the Minnesota Wild will open their 2nd round series in Chicago as the Blackhawks have home ice advantage in the second round!!
