Before the Andrew Shaw injury occurred everything seemed to be clicking on the lines that were in place and the Chicago Blackhawks were hot, riding a 6 game win streak. Now Coach Q is scrambling trying to mix it up and find that special spark after the Chicago Blackhawks have lost 2 in a row to the Minnesota Wild at the Excel Energy Center. Why don’t the Blackhawks use what has worked quite frequently in the past? What I mean is they need to take it back to the basics using the ever so famous Bryan Bickell, Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Kane first line, which seems to produce and help win games for the Blackhawks time after time!

Recently during the NHL Playoff series vs. the Minnesota Wild, Coach Joel Quenneville has tried to spread the wealth out across the lines for more balance and depth. In Game 3 he tried shaking it up with a Bryan Bickell, Jonathan Toews and Ben Smith first line but not a single one of them scored a point. With that result, coming home for Game 5 he needs to switch Patrick Kane for Ben Smith. Or at minimum just get Toews and Kane back together for some showtime moments.
