The Blackhawks face the Los Angeles Kings for the second consecutive season in the Western Conference Finals, and we are looking for your prediction for the series. Last year the Blackhawks played five hard games against the Kings but were lucky enough to win the series 4-1.

This year the Kings seem to have found another level of resolve with comebacks down 3-0 and 3-2 against the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks.  Jonathan Quick leads the defensive minded hard-hitting team, but it is the offense they used in Game #7 to win easily beat the Ducks that makes them extremely dangerous besides the fact that they won’t go away no matter what the series or the scoreboard says.

The Blackhawks haven’t played their best hockey yet in the playoffs except maybe Game #5 in St. Louis, but the Hawks especially against the Minnesota have found a way to win being led by their leaders Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane scoring 7 out of the 8 game winning for the Blackhawks at the half way point.

The Blackhawks are trying to become the first team since the 1998 Detroit Red Wings to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions while the Kings are trying to get back to the Stanley Cup Finals for the second time in three years.  Both teams have rosters that know what it takes to win a Stanley Cup so this should be a much closer and longer series than last season.
