Although some people may have expected a New York Rangers win on Saturday afternoon no one expected a complete blowout of the Montreal Canadiens on home ice with Carey Price getting pulled and the Rangers taking a 1-0 series lead with ease.

The Rangers speed was evident in Game #1 and it looked like the Canadiens were still looking for a slugfest after a knockdown drag out fight with the Boston Bruins.  The last time a team got blown out that bad in Game #1 in the Conference Finals they were eventually swept into the offseason (Edmonton 1992)

The Rangers didn’t practice on Sunday instead they all attended Martin St. Louis Mothers Funeral which has been a storyline (very sadly) since Game #5 in the Pittsburgh Penguins series.

The Canadiens need to pick up their pace ASAP but the biggest story from Montreal is the possibility of Carey Price not playing due to injury after Chris Kreider crashed into him in Game #1 of the series.  Here is the listings for tonight’s Game #2
