Andrew Shaw WILL Not Play in Game 2.

The Blackhawks announced today at Andrew Shaw will return to the lineup in Game 2. Shaw has been skating the last few days, but Coach Quenneville said they are shooting for Shaw to return on Saturday in Game3. Shaw who has not played since Game 1 of the Minnesota Wild Series. That is exactly 18 days ago. As team the Blackhawks have played well without Shaw but they understand the importance of him as a player.

Blackhawks players have shared their thoughts with the media on how they have missed Shaw. Bryan Bickell stated that he missed, “ His excitement, his grit, his energy, even his net front presence”. Shaw who is only 5’9 plays a much more physical style than his size dictates. He is a constant in front of the opposing goalie during even strength play and the power play.Shaw is itching to play but we will have to wait till Game 3 on Saturday in LA. When asked how it was watching the Blackhawks play without him, Shaw said it is “Horrible”.

The Blackhawks take on the La Kings in Game 2 at 7:00pm central time.
