Well it comes down to this tonight from the United Center. It’s Game #5 and even though the Hawks pulled off a 3-1 comeback last year this year has a different feeling with the Kings blowing out the Hawks in LA both games. The Hawks will need to make a 180 or they this will be their farewell game.
After last year and even the St. Louis Blues series this year Blackhawks fans still have a lot of faith in the Hawks and even in this playoff season the Kings have lost 3 games in row twice in the playoffs. The Hawks are 1-11 all-time when down 3-1 with last years Detroit Red Wing win their only victory.
The Hawks need their stars to step up but specifically both Patricks! Both Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane have slumped in this series with Sharp slumping for the entire playoff run. The Hawks seemed to play Game #4 without a sense of urgency but if you look at the 5 on 5 totals the Hawks won the Corsi battle so the key is to stay out of the penalty box with the Kings powerplay killing the Blackhawks.
