Season Review: Overall, Brent Seabrook had another very good season. He is by far the Blackhawks second best defenseman behind Duncan Keith.
He made some very amazing defensive plays during the regular season, and even more in the playoffs.
During the series against the St. Louis Blues, Seabrook got suspended for a hit on David Backes. Most people thought that it cost the Hawks the game because he got a game misconduct penalty, and the Blues scored on the power play to tie it. He was only suspended for three games though, so he was able to come back and help the Blackhawks close that series out.
He made a few questionable defensive decisions against the L.A. Kings, and they led to some costly goals. Because of that, some people believe that he will be a valuable trade chip this offseason.
I, personally, think that Seabrook will stay in a Hawks uniform for as long as possible. He is an amazing asset to this team, and unfortunately, that sometimes goes unnoticed.
