Rumors are swirling around the Blackhawks like winds from a Tornado. The latest rumor reported by many outlets is that the Blackhawks are one of the front runners for Ryan Kesler. The Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks are the two front runners for Kesler. The rumor is that the Blackhawks will be sending Patrick Sharp and others back in return for Kesler.

We at Blackhawk up are speculating that Nick Leddy and someone from Rockford will be included with Patrick Sharp to Vancouver. The reason Leddy is included is because he is included in every potential trade rumor surrounding the Blackhawks. Leddy’s cap number is 3.4 million next season. Patrick Sharp has to be included in the trade for Kesler because of his cap number.

According to Cap Geek, Sharp’s cap number is 5.9 million for next season. Kesler’s cap number is 5 million dollars. The reason Sharp must be included is because not only does it balance out Kesler salary but it also gives the Blackhawks more room to sign Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews.

The Blackhawks figured to be featured around many potential second line center trade candidates.
