We’re heading into the dog days of the offseason, counting the days until the Chicago Blackhawks 2014 season kicks off. We’re going to do a Top 100 list of the all time Chicago Blackhawks.  It’s a fun way to pass the time and take a stroll down memory lane.

Denis DeJordy Career Stats In Chicag0

Regular Season

Goals Against-518

Goals Against Average-2.75

GAA- 3.49

Denis DeJordy arrived in Chicago during the 1961 season which of course was a great year to be a Blackhawk but he was also stuck behind Glenn Hall, the same Glenn Hall that played 502 complete games in net for the Chicago Blackhawks.  DeJordy first action in a game didn’t arrive until the fall of 1962 when Hall’s streak ended because of a back injury.

DeJordy was Hall’s backup until Hall left the Hawks and DeJordy took on the goalie position full-time which he was succesful at with DeJordy sharing the Vezina Trophy with Hall after the 1967-68 season.  DeJordy’s career was squeezed between 2 Hall of Famers and 2 goalies whose numbers hang from the United Center with Tony Esposito arriving in Chicago and ending the DeJordy era.  DeJordy may have had a long career if there were more than the Original 6 teams in the day, but he still 10th all-time in Chicago Blackahwks wins as a goalie.

DeJordy ranks 89th on our list with the 1961 Stanley Cup Championship on his resume.
