1. Nathan MacKinnon Colorado Avalanche Center: Mackinnon was the best rookie in the NHL last season. MacKinnon was the Calder trophy and lived up to the billing as the first overall pick. MacKinnon helped the Avalanche win the Central Division crown. He appeared in 82 games. He recorded 24 goals and 39 assists with a +20 rating on the season. In the playoffs, he had 2 goals and 8 assists. MacKinnon looks to be a future superstar in the NHL.
