If you answered 1926 you are correct! The Chicago Blackhawks were founded in 1926, having been one of the original teams of the NHL, together with the Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, and Toronto Maple Leafs. These teams are often referred to as the “Original Six” and there is always an extra edge when facing one another. Most recently during the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals we saw two Original Six teams go at it and the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Boston Bruins 4-2 in exciting fashion to say the least.
