If you answered 14-25-9 you are correct! When the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 1938 they did it with a dismal regular season record of 14-25-9, nearly missing the playoffs all-together. They were the underdogs throughout the playoffs, however they defeated the Montreol Canadiens 2 games to 1 in a best of 3 series. The Blackhawks also beat the New York Americans 2 games to 1 in a best of 3 series. During the Stanley Cup Final the Chicago Blackhawks took on the Toronto Maple Leafs in a best of 5 series only needing 4 games to wrap up the championship.
