We’re heading into the dog days of the offseason, counting the days until the Chicago Blackhawks 2014 Season kicks off. We’re going to do a Top 100 list of all time Chicago Blackhawks. It’s a fun way to pass the time and take a stroll down Memory Lane.

Most Blackhawks fans will remember that Shantz was the 36th overall pick in the 1992 draft. After six seasons in Chicago, he was traded to the Calgary Flames with Steve Dubinsky for Marty McMInnis, Jamie Allison, and Eric Andersson. Jamie Allison was the only player to play for the Blackhawks and was not very good.
Shantz was a WHL East First All-Star Team in 1993. He would play with the Flames and Avalanche after the Blackhawks. He never reached the postseason again. He did prolong his career in the Swiss leagues until 2005.
What do you think of Shantz on the list did he give enough to make it? Too High Too Low or shouldn’t have made the final cut?
