We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Faceoff series last season that we decided to do it again.  In case you’re new to the series, we’ll do a roster preview as we count down the days until the Chicago Blackhawks  October 9th season opener against the Dallas Stars.

Good afternoon Blackhawks fans we are down to 74 days until opening night and we are still in the land of jersey numbers that nobody has ever worn in Blackhawks franchise history.  Since we can’t look back at a half of a season of a washed up veteran’s career that wore #74, let’s take a quick look at games played by a Defenseman in team history.
