If you answered 6 you are correct! Since 1926 when the Chicago Blackhawks were founded there have only been 6 jersey numbers retired. These 6 jersey numbers represent 7 different players however. The highest rank of honors includes: #1 Glenn Hall, #3 Pierre Pilote and Keith Magnuson, #9 Bobby Hull, #Denis Savard, #21 Stan Mikita, #35 Tony Esposito. Another player, Steve Larmer is one that many of the Blackhawks fans agree should have his #28 jersey retired as well. He was one of the greats to play right next to Denis Savard and ranks in the top of the career statistics with the Blackhawks.
