We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Faceoff series last season that we decided to do it again.  In case you’re new to the series, we’ll do a roster preview as we count down the days until the Chicago Blackhawks  October 9th season opener against the Dallas Stars.

We are on the last day of the 70’s and the final day of July so the summer is starting to slip away but the long month of August and lack of hockey news awaits us.  There hasn’t been a Blackhawk to wear #70 so let’s take a look at the Blackhawks All-Time list for Goals scored in a season.

  1. Bobby Hull-58 1968-69
  2. Bobby Hull-54 1965-66
  3. Al Secord-54 1982-83
  4. Jeremy Roenick-53 1991-92
  5. Bobby Hull-52 1966-67
  6. Bobby Hull-50 1961-62
  7. Bobby Hull-50 1971-72
  8. Jeremy Roenick-50 1991-92
  9. Denis Savard-47 1985-86
  10. Steve Larmer-46 1984-85
  11. Jeremy Roenick-46 1993-94
  12. Troy Murray-45 1985-86
  13. Bobby Hull-44 1968-69
  14. Bobby Hull-44 1970-71

More from All Time Blackhawks

Bobby Hull really was a fantastic scorer, but Troy Murray’s one big season scoring is always the one that sticks out the most. What jumps out at you with this list?

Be on the lookout for our Countdown to Faceoff series as we continue to work our way to the season opener on October 9th. We’re 70 days from the season opener.  Is it October yet???
