NHL Sunday Morning Power Rankings: Central Division Defensemen

1. Shea Weber Nashville Predators: The argument could be made that Shea Weber deserved the Norris trophy last season and not Duncan Keith. Weber was once again impressive with 23 goals and 33 assists on the season. Weber is viewed as an ELITE all around defenseman with a big shot and leadership skill. Weber finished third in the Norris Trophy voting to Drew Doughty and Duncan Keith. Weber also plays significant minutes a night averaging 26:54 per game.

The great debate will rage who is the best defenseman in the Central Division. The debate can expand further, who is the best defenseman in the NHL: Weber, Suter, Doughty, Subban, or Keith? Currently my vote is for Shea Weber in the Central and the NHL.
