Bob Probert was a hated rival for a long time as he beat up Blackhawks for nine years with the Detroit Red Wings. Probert was known as a member of the “Bruise brothers” with the Red Wings in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Probert came to the Blackhawks after playing the Red Wings. This is the Anti Chris Chelios Story. With the Blackhawks Probert’s production declined. He never scored more than 40 points in a season. His penalty minutes evern started to decline with the Blackhawks. Probert did continue to be physical and fight old rivals as his career ended with the Blackhawks. Probert retired from the Blackhawks in 2001-02. Probert finished 4th all-time with 3,300 penalty minutes. He would become a broadcaster for a short time.
Sadly Probert passed away in 2010. Probert had problems with drugs and alcohol off the ice but all the fights had a toll on a Blackhawks fan favorite.
