If you answered Michael Leighton you are correct! Leighton who just recently resiged with the Blackhawks started his career out with them back in 2003. On January 8, 2003 Michael Leighton became the first Blackhawks player to record a shutout in his debut during a scoreless tie against the Phoenix Coyotes’ goalie Zac Bierk. Bierk also earned his first career shutout when also was the first time that two goalies in the same game both earned their first career shutouts.
