We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Faceoff series last season that we decided to do it again. In case you’re new to the series, we’ll do a roster preview as we count down the days until the Chicago Blackhawks October 9th season opener against the Dallas Stars.
We are down to #45 and this isn’t a great day for All-time Great Blackhawks but we do have players that have worn #45 in Blackhawks history so let’s take a quick look at these players that spent time in Chicago.
Dykhuis was traded to Philadelphia for basically the rights Kyle Calder so the Hawks won out on this trade.
Muir was traded to the Tampa Bay Lighting for the Michael Nylander so another trade that seemed to work out in the Hawks favor.
