Daze was part of the last Blackhawks team to make the Conference Final before the Toews/Kane era as a rookie and then saw the franchise fall deep into one of its worst era’s of all-time. Two words can describe Daze and his career and they are Goal-Scorer and Injured.

Daze could put the puck in the net which he did on a regular basis when he was able to make it on the ice.

If you’re looking for a modern-day comparison to Daze it has to be Bryan Bickell. Both were big guys that didn’t play physical during the regular season but had a scorers touch with Daze of course a better scorer than Bickell.

Daze is a classic What could have been guy but of course it’s not too big of a story because of the era in Blackhawks history he played in, his back problems were so bad that he was forced into retirement.

Daze had 6 hat tricks during his career and could play with the likes of Tony Amonte and Alexei Zhamnov but in the end his back failed him and was forced to retire. His scoring was so good he still is # 26 all-time in points in Blackhawks history.
