Yesterday, the 2014-2015 regular season schedule was released for the Chicago Blackhawks and not surprisingly were a number of nationally televised games listed there.

In total, the Hawks will play 11 times on NBC/NBCSN. This shouldn’t come as a huge shock. The Hawks are one of the premier teams in the NHL and always bring in a huge audience. Still, the Hawks should use this time to prove why Vegas has them as the favorites to win the Stanley Cup in 2015.

This off-season the Hawks added Brad Richards, which should make their high-octane offense even better and fans love to watch teams scoring goals.

They also have arguably one of the best players in the game today, Patrick Kane, who’s post goal Showtime antics are sure to draw eyeballs.

Since 2013, this Hawks team has seemed to have more flair, more attitude, and more drive to be the best team in all of hockey. They will have ample time on national TV to prove all of that and to entertain hockey fans around the globe.

Fans of other teams will quickly realize how good the Hawks are. And this TV should continue to prove that the Western Conference reigns supreme in the hockey land.

It may not seem like much, being on national TV. But it wasn’t long ago that the Hawks were being blackout at home, losing a ton of games while watching fans take their money to other Chicago teams.

Being able to play at the level that this team does is a feat in itself, and they get to show this skill off to the world 11 times this season. They will be sure to make the most of it, and that’s good for everybody.
