Andrew Brunette Days Until The Blackhawks Season Opener

By Keith Schultz

We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Faceoff series last season that we decided to do it again. The calendar has turned into September ,we look at jersey numbers from past and present as we count down the days until October 9th and opening night against the Dallas Stars.

We are down to 15 days until the Blackhawks season opener and while nobody is currently wearing the number, Blackhawks prospect Mark McNeill has been wearing 15 at the Blackhawks rookie tournament and during training camp. McNeill has been pretty impressive in both places and Rockford has to be looking forward to having McNeill for a 2nd season.  He should be a Blackhawk as soon as next season when the Blackhawks have to purge some salary.

The last Blackhawks player to wear 15 was Andrew Brunette and it was a disappointing season to say the least.  Here is the list of players to wear 15 with Blackhawks legend Eric Nesterenko as the greatest 15 in Blackhawks history.
