For the 2nd consecutive night the Blackhawks will take to the ice in preseason action, but tonight a delayed flight will not be the cause of a slow start so the Hawks are already starting out on the right foot.  The Blackhawks are also sending out more of the A-Team than last night in Detroit while some young players will be getting their last spotlight before Joel Quenneville starts sending players to Rockford for Ice Hogs tryouts.

Here are some gameday news and thoughts

Corey Crawford is scheduled to play the entire game which seems like mid-season form three games into the preseason.

-No Teuvo Teravainen tonight, but he’s scheduled to play Sunday night against the Edmonton Oilers in Saskatoon which means that Teuvo’s first preseason action will not be televised.

Joakim Nordstrom and Kris Versteeg will also be out of the lineup tonight but scheduled to play Sunday

-Get ready for plenty of Original 6 and Brad Richards playing his old team comments all night long.

-What has Phillip Danault done to Quenneville? He gets to play tonight on the fourth line with his wings being enforcer wannabe’s Cody Bass and Pierre-Cedric Labrie.  On the other hand Danault is suppose to be the next Marcus Kruger so seeing him on the 4th line on a non-scoring line is something to get use to.

-The best news of all is that the game is on TV tonight.
