We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Faceoff series last season that we decided to do it again. The calendar has turned into September ,we look at jersey numbers from past and present as we count down the days until October 9th and opening night against the Dallas Stars.

Patrick Sharp has been a Hawk for a long time and he is starting get pretty high on the all-time points list with every season.  Sharp is a streaky scorer with last year a normal season for Sharp with him playing extremely well and scoring at will at the beginning of the season with the Winter Olympic goal in front of him which he made and won a Gold medal, but come playoff time he went almost silent and in the end that silence hurt the Hawks in their quest for back to back Stanley Cups.

Sharp was in the middle of a lot of trade rumors in the offseason especially during the draft, but it looks like the band will stick together for one more year and Sharp will have a chance at another huge year playing on the same line with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa. The question is can Sharp put together an entire regular and postseason or will it be another streaky season.
