The Chicago Blackhawks head home for their final preseason game on the United Center ice as they take on the Montreal Canadiens.  For those keeping score at home, this is preseason game number 6 of 7.  We’re almost there!

Tonight’s game will be televised on CSN and aired on the radio at 87.7 FM The Game.

For the most part, the Hawks will be skating a high-powered lineup tonight.  Brad Richards will be in the lineup tonight, as will Patrick Kane as the two look to build more chemistry before the regular season starts.  Marian Hossa will likely be getting his final preseason tune-up before the season starts.  Coach Q knows that it’s more important to keep the veteran Hossa as fresh as possible, as long as possible.  Trevor van Riemsdyk will probably getting one of, if not the final look before he is ultimately sent to Rockford after an eye-opening preseason/training camp.

In net, Antti Raanta will get the nod, for the Hawks.  He will have a tough matchup, as the Canadiens will go with superstar netminder, Carey Price, in net.

With the roster down to 28 skaters and only 2 preseason games remaining, the regular season is right around the corner.  All eyes will be on Hawks General Manager Stan Bowman as he is yet to make a trade to get the team under the salary cap before the season starts.  That trade could happen any minute.  Anticipation is killer, but the regular season is almost here and that’s the important thing.

Go Hawks!
