In the well that escalated quickly category, Daniel Carcillo went from a free agent sitting at home after getting released from training camp with the Pittsburgh Penguins to a training camp roster invite to the Blackhawks on the day before the Blackhawks final preseason game to signing a one year contract with the Blackhawks for a reported 550,000 dollars this morning.

This is more on Joel Quenneville if you ask me who has turned into the Lou Pinella of hockey who refuses to play anyone who isn’t considered a veteran player and despises anyone that is a young up and coming player.  Not everyone has a complete 200 foot game in their youth it’s something that is coached and it seems like Quenneville is way past coaching these days and will stick to veterans and guys hes comfortable with on the roster.

It’s great to have stars in Rockford but it’s completely useless if Quenneville doesn’t want them in Chicago and even though I wasn’t a fan of Brandon Mashinter,he seemed to have more upside than Daniel Carcillo will ever have.

Be very careful if youjre on the ice with Carcillo no matter what uniform you wear!!!

Granted this just means more trade(s) are on the way which could mean Carcillo could be involved in but unlikely.  Stay tuned this weekend could be interesting but for today we have Carcillo back in Chicago on a one year contract!

What do you think of the Carcillo official return?
