The cursing at Kris Versteeg on Twitter may have to wait a game or two longer now. Versteeg was injured in practice today in which he quickly skated off the ice.  After practice Versteeg status was Not Looking Too Good from Joel Quenneville which usually means at least a few games if you can translate Q Speak.

This summer Versteeg has been talked about a lot from being on the trading block to looking noticeably faster and more recovered from his knee injury, and even though this is a minor set back it kind of sums up Versteeg as always being close but disappointing.

This could mean a move up the lines to the third line for Jeremy Morin on opening night with Daniel Carcillo taking the ice on the fourth line with Ben Smith and Marcus Kruger.  It doesn’t sound super serious for Versteeg but not good is not good.
