Brad Richards

Brad Richards was acquired via free agency this off-season and inked a 1 year deal worth 2 million dollars. He brings veteran centerman skills to the team and very well could be starting on the second line for the Blackhawks. With the great line spark at the end of the Western Conference Finals, Quenneville does not want to break the trio of Saad, Shaw, and Kane until otherwise needed. So that slips Richards down into the 3 line which he will be greatly appreciated and needed during times of injury or rest providing valuable depth at center. Don’t forget Quenneville is never set on any 1 lineup and that is his job to shake things up so don’t be surprised to see him shift Shaw and Richards around to battle opponents differently. The Blackhawks already were one of the top scoring teams last year and if they can get the 20 goals and 31 assists like he gave the NY Rangers last year then this team will be very hard to stop. Keep an eye on Richards as he builds chemistry with his team and line-mates.
