5. Tampa Bay Lightening: The Lightening lost in the Eastern Conference Quarter Finals last season. They were without their best player Steven Stamkos for most of the season. With a healthy Stamkos and a full season of Ryan Callahan expect big things from the Lightening. The Lightening will also have SUPER PROSPECT in Jonathan Drouin on the roster this season.

4. St. Louis Blues: The Blues were really good in the regular season last year, but in the playoffs they were bounced by the Blackhawks in six games. Did I mention the Blues had a 2-0 lead in that series before losing four in a row? The Blues signed Paul Stastny to give them more center depth. Stastny will add to Alex Steen and David Backes offensive punch of the Blues. Can the Blues win a playoff series?

3. Boston Bruins: The Bruins appear to be the best team in the Eastern Conference but they have two major issues. Their first major issue is the salary cap. The cap lost them Ignila in free agency and Boychuk via trade. The second is age of their captain. Zdeno Chara is their captain and a freak of nature but even age catches up with freaks.

2. Chicago Blackhawks: The Blackhawks have been the POPULAR pick to win the Stanley Cup this season. The Blackhawks have almost the same team from last season. The Blackhawks had to trade Nick Leddy because of the cap but added center Brad Richards. Can the Blackhawks play better against the Central Division this season??

1. Los Angeles Kings: The Kings are the defending champs and did not make many major changes to their roster. Their major question is can they repeat? No team has repeated since the Red Wings of the late 90’s. The Kings know it is tough to repeat, they won the Stanley Cup in the 2011-12 season.
