What’s On Tap For The Blackhawks This Week ( Pictures credit Chicagoblues-band.com)
What’s On Tap for the Blackhawks this week?
Well unlike the beginning of last year with the Olympic break looming, teams are not going to be playing 3 or 4 games a week all the way into February. This week is a perfect example of the slower start to the season with the Blackhawks only playing twice this week in their 2nd week of action.
Wednesday night the Blackhawks host the Calgary Flames. This means really one thing and that is the return of Brandon Bollig to the United Center. While plenty of us weren’t fans of Bollig there were plenty of Blackhawks fans that liked #52. The Flames are a two-part team, when they arrive at your stadium or vice versa you will probably be picking up 2 points for the evening, but the second part is your going to be playing a bunch of goons wanting to cross the line on the hitting and fighting. If you can control that aspect of the night you can skate off unharmed with your 2 points.
Saturday night the Nashville Predators visit the United Center. The Predators were a trendy pick to be a playoff team and they have delivered in their first two games going 2-0. They no longer have Barry Trotz bogging down the offense and Pekka Rinne back in net and healthy again. The Predators always play the Blackhawks tough whether it’s in Chicago or Nashville and they will be the opponent twice in the next three contest so it will be a good early Central Division test for the Blackhawks.
Which game are you most excited to see this week?
