#2: Marian Hossa
The rest Marian Hossa has been given through pre-season and into the regular season has bode well for the 35-year old, with two great performances in the season’s first two games. Hossa knocked in his first goal of the year against the Sabres during a blowout, but it’s not his offensive totals that earned him the #2 spot this week. Hossa had a Selke-like performance in both games during the week, much more than his +2 rating would suggest. From making two Sabres players fall down in the same shift, to a bounty of broken-up passes and brilliant puck protection, Hossa truly did it all in Week 1. For Hossa, it will be a matter of consistency in the 2014-15 season; if he can keep up this pace, the Blackhawks are a very complete team.
