#1: Patrick Kane

Expectations were high for Patrick Kane coming into the 2014-15 season, and through two games, he has not disappointed. Kane delivered a smooth shootout-winning goal for the Blackhawks in Dallas after a 24-minute game in which he already recorded an assist. Playing his hometown Sabres at the ‘Hawks home opener, Kane put up a goal and an assist, starting the landslide that gave Chicago an eventual 4-goal lead. With the game-winner against the Sabres, and the only goal in the shootout against the Stars, it’s safe to say Kane was clutch during week 1. With three points in two games, it remains to be seen how long Kane can keep up his torrid pace.
