It’s Finally Gameday!! It almost feels like a week since the Hawks took to the ice, but it’s only been since Saturday night when the Blackhawks beat the Buffalo Sabres 6-2.  I had the Hawks winning 5-1 with Patrick Kane scoring so I was close, but Andrew McCann hit the nail on the head by predicting a 6-2 win and Andrew Shaw, Marian Hossa, and Duncan Keith scoring so great job Andrew!!

We move on to a Calgary Flames team that should be almost like Buffalo Saturday night a young team that will be spirited but should be pretty beatable with a good effort by the home team. The problem for the Hawks which has troubled them for a couple of seasons now is the ability to put together three good periods together. The Hawks have totally dominated the third period in both games but they can’t rely on that every night so a good first and second would be nice especially against weaker competition.

The Flames are coming off an OT win against the Nashville Predators so don’t expect a beat down team ready to get out of town, but it will be the second game of back to backs for the Flames.

Tonight’s predictions is a 4-1 win for the Hawks with Jonathan Toews scoring two goals just so that social media can stop the John Scott and Daniel Carcillo have scored more goals this season than the Captain.
