19. Toronto Maple Leafs 2-3-1: The Leafs appear to be playing with more heart this season but will it be enough to save Randy Caryle’s job this season. James Reimer has the two victories for the Leafs this season. Could he turning the corner this year?

18. St. Louis Blues 2-1-1: The Blues big free agent signing Paul Stastny is day to day with an upper body injury. Stastny currently leads the Blues with four points this season. He was hurt in his first shift against the Arizona Coyotes.

17. Vancouver Canucks 3-1-0: The Canucks are off to a good start. Ryan Miller is off to a great start in Vancouver, he is 3-0-0 with 1.95 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. Canucks fans should temper their enthusiasm on Miller, he started the same way with the Blues last season.

16. Boston Bruins 3-4-0: Are the Bruins in trouble? Their record does not scare me, it is their inability to score goals. The league average is 14 goals and the Bruins have only mustered 15 goals. They have allowed 17 goals. Could Milan Lucic still be recovering from an injury sustained last year? Lucic should focus on scoring and not raising an imaginary cup over his head.

15. New Jersey Devils 3-2-0: The Devils free agent acquisition of Mike Cammalleri has paid off thus far. Cammalleri has 5 goals and 2 assists in 5 games this season. The sleeper on this team could Martin Havlat. If he stays healthy he could surprise some people this season.
